This is the only practical way to inspect the timing beltford can't always be trusted on service intervals etc,but their claim that the in oil timing belt wi. Does any body have a procedure for the timing belt replacement? I just did my 220.000km(136.000 miles) service today on my '12 focus.

Spark plugs need to be the proper ngk article and in good condition to avoid higher temperatures within the cylinders which can destroy the engine. When ford launched this engine, the cambelt was supposed to last the 'life of the car,' but then this was changed to replacing the belt every 10 years / 150k miles.

I'd be out the garage door like a shot and without the car, most people here who run cars long term well out of warranty would generally like to see annual or every 10k miles servicing, whichever comes first, that car should have had an interim oil. There still is a wetbelt between the crankshaft and the oil pump (and balance shaft on the automatic transmission version) but there is no replacement interval for this wetbelt.

Especially on a smaller car like the fiesta with limited working space. On the next 240.000km(150.000 miles) service i will have to do the timing belt as well.
