1997 Ford F150 4X4 Light Wont Come On. The things i have done are check every single fuse the truck has, all are in working order. Drove around the block 1 time then it stopped working again.
My airbag stays on also my 4x4 light on the dash stays on the lights on the 4x4 switch wont come dont know if thats all connected mainly. The 4x4 light wont come on when i engage the 4x4. What does it mean when my 1997 ford f150 cranks but won't start cranks but won't start.
Four Wheel Drive Not Engaging.
I have replaced the shifter switch with a known working used one, no luck. When there is vacuum in the lines the hubs will disengage and the truck will be in 2wd and once the vacuum pressure is activated the 4wd will be engaged once the hub and actuator spline are engaged. Check the shifting motor and plug on the transfer case, or the digital output from the gem module which controls the 4x4 operation.
